Bible Study: Hebrews 11:13-16
The owner of the house before us had a lot of grand dreams and one of them was a water fountain. He had a tub and rocks in the backyard, but had no one set up the fountain. So this spring I got my shovel and began digging a hole for the tub. Then I placed the rocks and added the waterfall. So now our backyard has a delightful fountain-Megan said we are moving up-class!
A couple of days later I went out to bask in the glory of the bubbling fountain only to find a lizard at the bottom of the tub. At first I was nervous and thought lizards in Georgia can breathe underwater! But when I stuck a stick into the water the lizard was stiff-it was dead. So I fished it out, but I wondered what happened? All I could imagine was that it jumped in after a bug but could not climb up the slick walls. I imagine to the lizard chasing a bug seemed like a good decision…
In the book Prince Caspian, more so than the movie, Lucy is able to see Aslan when the others can not. Yet she does not chase after Him, choosing to remain with her sister and brothers. This leads to part of the story’s tragic events. Which is exactly what we often do, trust ourselves and others over the path God desires. We think we are making wise decision; but instead, we choose the path of destruction…
“If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.” ~ Hebrews 11:15
¤ Of course you have never died because of a decision you made-since you are reading this- but when has one of your decisions created problems in your life?…
¤ When have you followed friends over Jesus?… Why is easier to follow them, than Jesus?…

And Carla tried a purple hard boiled egg… we will see how that turns out…
After dinner we went to the Chocolate World…
