Toilet Meditation

Yesterday Ezekiel set up a stool and a upside down laundry basket outside the bathroom. Then he found Meg. She was now, with a seat and table for her coffee, ready to join him for bathroom time. He does not like to be alone. Which I find hilarious, because my bathroom routine is the exact opposite. Even Mr E understands (“Are you stinky?“). But this also made me ponder my bathroom time.

Do you remember before smartphones? The bathroom was a moment of calm. Imagining. Planning. Built in daily meditation. But now it is scrolling news, social media, email… Just like Ezekiel I should make preparations for what I need. And that starts with putting down my mobile. Not just for bathroom time. But daily meditation.

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence… For this reason I kneel. (Eph. 3:12, 14)

This Sunday we continue our series on Devotion and Ephesians. Take time to prepare by reading Ephesians 3. And I hope you join Chandler’s worship in person 😷 or online (Facebook or Youtube).
